Age UK - Herne Bay - Day centres for older people
The service delivers fresh cooked meals to the homes of older people living in Herne Bay, Whitstable, Chestfield and Seasalter. A weekly menu is distributed and orders can be taken over the phone. You can order 1 or 2 course meal and the chef is happy to prepare smaller portions for people with less of an appetite.
It also offers help at home, a handyperson service, laundry service and footcare.
Age UK Herne Bay provides temporary support to anyone over 60 years who is returning home after a hospital stay. The service is free to members. To have someone collect your pension, make bill payments, grocery shop and carry out light household tasks will help you to recover and regain your independence.
The Bradbury Centre is a safe place where people can socialise and participate in activities.
The Hazel Neville Dementia Care Unit provides specialist care to a high standard for people living with Alzheimer's and/or dementia. Age UK Herne Bay also offers support, information and advice to people looking after someone living with dementia or Alzheimer's.
